The Weeping Lady
A Short Ghost Story From The Heart of Ashland Kentucky
Ashland, Kentucky is one of my favorite places in Kentucky. It’s an old river town filled with history and mystery. If you’ve never parked your car in downtown and took off on foot to experience the atmosphere of this small, sleepy Appalachian city, I highly recommend it! And if you do that, one of your stops should certainly be at the Ashland Cemetery off Belmont Street.
Ashland is also home to the Paramount Theatre, which is home to the legend of Paramount Joe—as well as the Highland Museum. Both of these places were, for the longest time, in my top ten wishlist for paranormal investigations. Luckily for me, I’ve been able to ghost hunt in both buildings. Now, if I could just get into the art gallery (notoriously haunted!) and the military museum, my Ashland wishlist would be complete!
